I am in love with Pink. A deep, vivid pink, almost fuchsia Pink. Call it Schiaparelli Pink . (Lacroix Pink to some ). All in all, when pink comes to life in a pair of boots, it almost becomes a picture of my life. The Ying & the Yang of it. The feminine and masculine aspects of it. The roughness of life and the sublime.
I would say we all need a good pair of boots that will help us walk in any terrain no matter what comes. Boots that will protect you while you go from point A to point B, with a million detours in-between. When mine are pink they remind me of the dreams, hopes, love and positive attitude we all need to carry with us … for the road ahead …
In Rl (real life) nobody has been able to paint a better picture of that metaphor than Martin Tarté and Roxanne Sancto; authors of the debut novel ¨The Pink Books¨ . The Pink Boots is the poignant story of a generation lost which both Tarté and Sancto use as a painting, with perfect depiction of the realities within. Written to perfection it is an almost photographic detailed account of that which we all carry in the deepest recesses of our heart and mind.
This is not your usual love story. Not at all. It is a raw account of the realities faced by our youth today. It will grab you by the heart and then threaten never to let go of it. Don´t miss it.
On the other hand in SL I found my metaphor for life in a Pair of Pink Boots by Maitreya. They come in rigged and unrigged mesh for perfect adjustment. I prefer the way the unrigged mesh looked on me as they were slightly lower and made a better balance with the summer shorts and perfect, cotton summer ¨T¨ by Kim.
